Discussion started by Stand Up Surf Zone 4 years ago
Hey Guys just seen those new FCS SUP fins, and looking for feedback from antbody who has used them! Anyone know what they would be like as part of a quad set up???
Cheers.

Been using these fins for a couple weeks now, you are spot on with your post SUPonic. I could hardly believe the speed these babies generate. They look s**t hot in my quad set up too!!!!!!!!!

The 3DS is the best fin i have used on a SUP board. It creates so much lift that the board skates through the water like a loose skateboard. You can pump the board through sections that you normally could not get the speed to pump. They carry speed through the turn so you still have speed on the exit of your turn. They drive real well down the line and generate incredible speed with loose turns. The fins work so well you can feel the lift on the back end of the board as you surf. I could not recommend these fins more highly for SUP boards or any board that needs to be loosened up. Give them a try you wont be disappointed.
3DS fins made by FCS sold at any good surf shop

you should place the 3DS in the front slots......can't work well in the back.ciao.

Andre is spot on. The 3DS really do rock in small surf. Larger surf I recommend going with more traditional side bites.

Cheers Fabio. Tried them today in my SUP in small waves. Used in my quad, placed them in the outside back slots. What do you recommend? Today they were interesting, the board was not as loose as normal, but there was much more control in power turns!!

I have been using since three years now.....perfect for surfing, I think the best for Sup wave. they give lot of stability and easy turn. At moment I'm using in my last quad model, they are still the best...

I haven't tried them as a quad setup, but I did ride them as thrusters. I rode them on knee high surf and was completely blown away by its performance. When doing the round house/cut back, the typical fin setup will stall after you hit the white wash, but not the 3DS. I kept my speed all throughout and had a recovery from the turn that I had never seen before. Now I'm not quite sure it performs on head high and over. But on small surf, where keeping the speed is an issue, the fin was magical!
