    Ban on single chamber vessels?
    Patti Hort

I live in Canmore, Alberta and in the closest major city, Calgary, the same ban applies. It is due to the fact that the water in the reservoir is ultimately used as the city water supply and they don't want 'our bodies' in that water. Interestingly enough, there are many new sailors who fall in all the time.

    Kook or Kool?
    Alicia Barry

This protocol piece is priceless to the growing lineup. There are those who not knowing etiquette have plowed through the middle with out a clue. The good news is, and thankfully for the the ability of those who do know, sharing this piece becomes easy and necessary. Once a clueless newbie reads this piece and pays acute attention to the lineup, it becomes clear to respect others, their positioning and wave rotation. If these simple etiquette examples are followed, everyone wins. With the growth of the industry, those who do send someone off with new gear should certainly include this piece stapled to the receipt! No one likes hostility in the lineup, it should be easy to avoid, but sometimes there will be those who are hostile no matter what. Thats when this piece becomes super valuable. The part I especially like, and I will be more conscious of, is sitting down more often and uncluttering the view! Thank you Blane, very kool!
