Trapper Rudd Goes SUP Fishing With Crocs

QUINTANA ROO, Mexico - After a seemingly endless road trip, which included road blocks, storms and eventually cutting through the back roads of the Yucatan Peninsula, Trapper Rudd found his way to the Atoll of Banca Chinchorro - the largest of its kind in the Northern Hemisphere. It was a pretty far way to go off the grid for a SUP fly fishing trip, but Trapper is an interesting guy who likes a challenge - especially if the juice is worth the squeeze. 

Banco Chinchorro is an 800 square kilometer biosphere that teems with fish (from grouper to Mahi Mahi to Barracuda and hundreds of others), making it one of the hidden gems of angling world that has yet to blow up. Alongside the fish, Trapper shared the lagoons and waterways with some large fresh water crocodiles and a few ghostly nomadic sharks. All in a day's work for the wild adventurer.
