Paddle Boarding Coconut Island, Hawaii

Nestled in Kaneohe Bay, on the Windward side of Oahu, Coconut Island known as Moku o Loe in Hawaiian is a mini island surrounded by coral reefs. Coconut Island is home to the Hawaiian Institute of Marine Biology and is a beautiful place to visit on your standup paddle board.

Veterans Prevail at 2018 Molokai 2 Oahu Championships

At the start of the 22nd annual Molokaʻi-2-Oʻahu Paddleboard World Championships (M2O), presented by Kona Brewing, favorable winds appeared to be creating promising conditions for todayʻs racers, but the Kaʻiwi Channelʻs fickle personality created a puzzle board of mixed swell for athletes to navigate.

The Maui Jim Molokai Holokai Paddle Festival hosted by Youth in Motion kicked off with the Maui2Molokai Challenge on Saturday 7th July 2018. In a wet and stormy weekend on Maui the 10th Annual Olukai Ho’olaule’a took place in massive swells and rough conditions. The race was originally set to take place on Saturday but due to the conditions event organizers decided to hold off ’til Sunday in hopes that conditions would clean up a bit.

Paddle Boarder Attacked by Shark in Hawaii

On Saturday morning, March 31, 2018, a 25-year-old man was paddle boarding off the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii and was attacked by a shark. According to reports by Big Island Now the man was paddling about 100 to 150 yards offshore when he was attacked.

Da Hui Backdoor Shootout 2018 Edit

The SUP discipline at the 2018 Da Hui Backdoor Shootout took place over the weekend in epic conditions and the boys scored at the infamous Pipeline on Oahu’s North Shore. All the Hawaiian SUP shredders were there for the event including Kai Lenny, Zane Schweitzer, Kealii Mamala, Tehotu Wong, Pomai Hoapili and Bullet Obra.
