World's Best SUP Racers To Compete For Biggest Prize In Paddling This Weekend

The world’s best paddlers are set to compete at the second annual Pacific Paddle Games presented by Salt Life this weekend (Sept. 30 to Oct. 2) at Doheny State Beach. With a $60,000-prize purse on the line, the most money ever offered in paddling, it’s no surprise that ALL of the top professionals in the world are en route to Southern California this week from around the globe.

2016 Red Bull Heavy Water Holding Period Now Open

As an official stop in the 2016 Stand Up World Series, Red Bull Heavy Water has started the holding period as of September 1st. The holding period will guarantee 40 of the world’s best SUP athletes waves over 10ft. on an open course that stretches 12km (7.5 miles), starting at Ocean Beach and finishing just past the Golden Gate Bridge.

n day two at the 2016 Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge did a Father-daughter-boyfriend trio steal the show?! Although Mother Nature was the true star of Day 2 action, serving up SICK winds to give true downwind racing to the world's best stand up paddle racers, the story line of MacRae Wylde taking 2nd in the Open division and his daughter and her boyfriend (Fiona Wylde + Bernd Roediger) taking 1st and 2nd in the elite division may be the coolest story line of the event.

Fiona Wylde, Bernd Roediger & Kai Bates Score Winter Swell In Australia

After a six-week stretch of traveling for races in Asia and Europe Starboard SUP and Werner Paddles athlete Fiona Wylde decided to take a little vacation to Australia with with boyfriend and fellow professional stand up paddler Bernd Roediger (Naish) and to meet up with good friend Kai Bates (Fanatic). While there, the trio scored really fun surf and had a blast out of the water too.

Kai Lenny & Sonni Hönscheid Win The 2016 M2O In Record Breaking Year

2016 was one of the most exciting years ever in the 20 years that the Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboard World Championships has been held. This year saw record breaking performances in both stand up paddling and prone paddle boarding and the field of athletes to compete was packed with standouts. This year Kai Lenny and Sonni Hönscheid claimed victory for the stand up paddlers.

Elite Field Set For 20th Anniversary Molokai-2-Oahu

When the last athlete crosses the finish line on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Moloka’i-2-O’ahu Paddleboard World Championships (M2O), two decades of outstanding performances and personal accomplishment will be recorded by a lineage of the world’s strongest paddle boarders. Presented by Kona Longboard Island Lager, the 2016 event welcomes a host of athletes from 16 countries who will test their navigational skill and athletic strength across 32-miles of open ocean in the disciplines of stand-up (SUP) and prone paddle boarding.
