SUP Surfing Delivers Strong Start To 2015 ISA SUP Championships

Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Surfing kicked off the week of competition at the 2015 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship Presented by Hotel Kupuri on Monday, May 11 in Sayulita, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. Athletes showcased supreme style to both the spectators in the sand and the world via live webcast.

ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championships Officially Begin In Sayulita

The 2015 International Surfing Association (ISA) World Championship Series commenced on Sunday, May 10 with the first event of the year. The Opening Ceremony of the ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship (WSUPPC) Presented by Hotel Kupuri was hosted in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico.

Why You Need To Try The Chattajack SUP Race

Chattajack is a 31-mile SUP/Kayak race in Chattanooga, Tennessee with the Chattajack course running the length of the Tennessee River gorge. The course twists and turns through a gorge with walls rising on both sides of racers 800+ feet overhead. The 2015 Chattajack taking place on October 24 of this year will host 300 racers, up 100 from 2014.

UPDATE: Missing Paddle Boarder Found Safe In Hawaii

Niel Bode, the missing man who did not return after paddle boarding on Wednesday in Waikiki, was found safely in waters about 3.5 nautical miles off Ewa Beach, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. He is reported to be in good condition, officials said.

On Saturday May 2nd, Newport Beach residents witnessed the 4th Annual gathering of the Standup for the Cure’s celebration of Life! Once again a crowd of over 1000 came together to raise funds and awareness for early Breast Cancer Detection, research, treatment and education  while enjoying a day of Standup Paddling, Live Music and great food and drink.
