Trestles to TJ Paddle with Purpose

SUP Ambassador and former pro surfer Jodie Nelson, has generously supplied six 14' Surftech Bark Dominator Stand Up Paddle Boards and six Quickblade Paddles for the first Annual 70 mile paddle from Trestles to TJ.  Below the Surface and Paddle with Purpose, two non-profit organizations based in San Diego, CA and Orange County, CA are currently on the journey.

24-Hour Stand Up Paddle Distance World Record

Ben Friberg sets Stand Up Paddling Distance World Record on the Yukon River in Canada’s YukonTerritory.  He paddled 238 miles (383 Kilometers) in one day (24 hours) on June, 27th 2012.  Read on for all the amazing details!

First Ever Attempt to SUP the Gulf Stream

Last weekend watermen Bill Whiddon and Thaddeus Foote attempted the first-ever crossing of the Gulf Stream from the Bahamian Island of Bimini to the shores of Miami Beach, Florida on stand-uppaddlboards (SUPs) to raise awareness of the impacts of plastics in the ocean.  Did they make it?

Boardworks to Hold Inflatable Demo in Colorado

Summer paddling is underway in Colorado and the Boardworks Surf is making a splash across the state with the “Show Up & Blow Up” SUP demo tour, hosting stand up paddling demos, clinics, and competitions at three prominent river festivals in Colorado: CKS Paddlefest (Buena Vista), FIBArk (Salida), and the Gunnison River Festival.
