In September 2015, UK paddler Charlie Head departed the United Kingdom and headed to Peru, to the primary source of the Amazon River, a glacier that is 4000 meters up in the Andes Mountains. From there, he embarked on an eight week paddle along 1800km of the Amazon to Iquitos, taking in whitewater, equipment catastrophes and one of his trademark animal rescues. The journey was filmed as part of a documentary for Red Bull TV.
