On Saturday, August 11, the Surfers’ Environmental Alliance (SEA) will host its twelfth annual SEA Paddle NYC, a grueling 25-mile event that attracts elite athletes and covers the dangerous waters circling Manhattan…all for charity.

Red Bull Heavy Water, arguably the most intense stand up paddling event in the world, is headed back to San Francisco, home to notoriously challenging weather and water conditions, as part of the 2018 APP World Tour circuit, with an event window from October 15th – November 2nd.

Following recent media reports, the International Surfing Association (ISA) has set out further key details to address misinformation about the governance of StandUp Paddle (SUP), including claims by the International Canoe Federation (ICF) that they are acting out of the best interests of the athletes.

The International Canoe Federation (ICF) has expressed hope a resolution will be reached with the International Surf Association over the management of Stand Up Paddling (SUP) activities before the ICF hosts its first SUP World Championships in Portugal later this year.

The Ta-Hoe Nalu Paddle Festival is celebrating its 12th year as the oldest and longest running SUP race event in the world, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, California at Kings Beach.
