Consisting of 31 miles through the Tennessee River Gorge, the Chattajack is an inspiring and gruelling paddle board and kayak race that takes place every year in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It draws people from around the world, partly due to its beautiful destination, and partly because of its notorious reputation as one of the most challenging long distance races.
Following the 2016 Chattajack (held in October), one participant edited together an incredible video highlighting the race and one’s journey and dedication to take part in it. Have a look at the documentary-style video below.

To showcase Quiksilver’s premium, classic outdoor line, the Quiksilver Waterman Collection, Quiksilver collaborated with 10 x Molokai champion, big wave charger, and paddle boarding legend Jamie Mitchell. The watermen and women that competed in the 1st inaugural Waterman’s Festival gave overwhelming feedback that the innovative format was a true testament to the quality and authenticity of ocean racing.
Day one racing saw Annabelle Anderson and Connor Baxter take the win in the "Super Lap," with Werner Paddles own Tyler Bashor winning the "Grom Race."

Earlier this year we introduced you to an incredible man from Brazil, Jonas Letieri. Jonas holds one of the most inspirational stories of overcoming obstacles and tragedies that are thrown at you in life and overcoming these obstacles against all odds. The 30th annual Santa Cruz Paddlefest was one for the books. The weather was perfect, waves consistent, and company incredible. Big thanks to Matt Hoff for all his hard work organizing and all the athletes who absolutely tore it up!
