Kayalu Introduces Kayalite-SUP™ Light For Stand Up Paddle Boards

Kayalu Gear is now shipping the Kayalite‑SUP, a portable, 360° high-visibility light for stand-up paddle boards. Capable of recovering from a rollover in shallow surf or direct impact, the Kayalite-SUP represents a significant improvement over existing portable SUP night visibility solutions. Kayalu has been granted two U.S. patents for technology incorporated into the Kayalite‑SUP.

Winter Whitewater SUP In Hood River, Oregon

On a sunny February day in northern Oregon, paddle boarders and kayakers meet on the Hood River. There is a camaraderie between river people. Water levels are up and the call for paddling the “backyard run” has been made. For many of these paddlers, this is a daily run. A short shuttle from the town of Hood River for 14 miles of continuous Class III+ whitewater hurdling down a forested canyon before its confluence with the Columbia River Gorge.

Expedition Paddling Down The Desolate South Fork Flathead River

In the beginning of October 2015 Gabriel Gray along with Jackson Berger and Casey Shedd packed via horseback with all inflatable SUPs and began the journey of a lifetime. The trip was completely off grid, without any reception, full of crazy adventure, and a test of grit and endurance due to unexpected water levels. #optoutside The Short Film

On Black Friday 2015 REI closed their doors in hopes of inspiring people to go outside. A group a friends inspired by this message set out to have an epic day of adventure in Central Oregon and create a short film documenting the journey. These guys went paddle boarding on their Pau Hana SUPs, skiing, and mountain biking in the middle of a beautiful snowy winter in Bend, Oregon.
