Where did you travel this year? Was it tropical? Was it on the coast or to a lake? With stand up paddling (SUP) the options are endless as you can take your paddle board on practically any body of water.

In just over 48 hours time, Patricia developed from a tropical storm into a category 5 hurricane overnight and just recently has grown even more becoming the "the strongest hurricane on record in the National Hurricane Center's area of responsibility (AOR) which includes the Atlantic and the eastern North Pacific basins," according to a discussion earlier this morning from the National Weather Service Hurricane Center.

The right-hand break of Sayulita, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico offered consistent surf for the final day of SUP Surfing as part of the 2015 ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship presented by Hotel Kupuri. 15-Year-Old Izzi Gomez and 25-Year-Old Sean Poynter showcase youth strength for Team USA by both winning a gold medal.

The 2015 Men’s and Women’s SUP Surfing Gold Medalists will be decided Friday, May 15 as part of the ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship presented by Hotel Kupuri in Sayulita, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico.

Day 3 saw dramatic Men’s SUP and Paddleboard 20Km Long Distance Races at the 2015 ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championships. USA’s Danny Ching Wins SUP Race, Australia’s Lachie Lansdown Wins Paddleboard Race at 2015 ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship Presented by Hotel Kupuri.

Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Surfing kicked off the week of competition at the 2015 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship Presented by Hotel Kupuri on Monday, May 11 in Sayulita, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. Athletes showcased supreme style to both the spectators in the sand and the world via live webcast.

The 2015 International Surfing Association (ISA) World Championship Series commenced on Sunday, May 10 with the first event of the year. The Opening Ceremony of the ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship (WSUPPC) Presented by Hotel Kupuri was hosted in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico.

The fourth annual ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championship (WSUPPC) will take place May 10th to May 17th, 2015 in Sayulita, Mexico. In this fourth edition of the ISA World Championship, the best men and women from around the world will gather in Mexico to determine the Individual Gold Medalists in SUP Racing, Paddleboard Racing, SUP Surfing and the coveted World Team Champion Trophy.
