Last week we reported that Glide SUP athlete Shane Perrin would attempt the World Record for longest paddle in 24 hours. After his successful attempt, we had a quick chat with Shane to talk a little bit about his new world record.
This weekend, Shane Perrin will attempt to set the Men’s SUP distance 24-hour record. On May 10th of this year, Shane set the current Men's SUP distance 24hr record at 95.6 miles.
Ultra-marathon paddler and super-human, Shane Perrin, recently completed another phenomenal journey, circumnavigating the US Virgin Islands of St. Thomas and St. John.
Shane Perrin has been known to do some rather intense paddle marathons, both in and out of the water. Now fresh off his recent 444 land paddle from Mississippi to Nashville, he's at it again, but this time for bigger stakes. On 01/20/14, shane is taking part in a longboard (skating) challenge, called 24 Hour Ultra-Skate, competing as a land paddler with his trusty Billy Lush board and Perrin-Elite carbon paddle.
