It was an epic close to the 2015 season at Turtle Bay, as we saw extremely competitive racing and dramatic finishes in both the long distance and sprint racing that led to the crowning of 2 new World Champions for 2015.
Candice Appleby finished the season unbeaten after another win, but she had to work hard here in Hawaii after being pushed all the way by the rising young star Fiona Wylde. For the men, it was ratings leader Kai Lenny who was able to secure his third Stand Up World Series Title after winning Stop #4 on the 2015 World Series with a win in the Sprint racing in a climatic finish at Turtle Bay Resort.
The first day of the World Series Finals at Turtle Bay presented by Naish saw Connor Baxter and Fiona Wylde dominate in the long distance races to take the well deserved victory.

The World's best are heading to the land of the rising sun in two weeks time for the next stop on the 2015 Stand Up World Series.
After the postponement of the Grand Slam event back in March, it was with great disappointment that the Waterman League announced the cancellation of this year’s Stand Up World Series and World Tour stop in Brazil, citing another request for postponement late in the day, leaving them no choice but to cancel for 2015.
Ane Zulaika Aranburu has been one of the most consistent competitors across this year's European Cup, putting on a solid performance at the Barcelona SUP World Series to finish in 5th, then a runner up finish behind teammate Celine Guesdon in Finland, and now backing it up with a win here at the Final event of the Cup here in Italy after 2 epic days of racing.

The Italia Surf Expo World SUP Challenge is to kick off this weekend as the prestigious European Cup Final at this unique beach festival. Following this event, the action will head to Brazil, Japan, California and Hawaii to close the season.
