A full day of talent-packed elimination rounds narrowed the field of competitors in contention for medals at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games surfing competition.

After shortboard and longboard debuted in the Pan Am Games on Monday, the best SUP surfers of the Americas got their chance to take center stage with their first heats.

The world's top surfers from the American continent are set to make their debut in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, where shortboard, longboard, SUP surfing and SUP racing will feature on the Sports Program for the first time.
