About the board:The Activ from Red Paddle is an incredibly stable inflatable. If you’re looking for a highly stable platform to stay within a range of about 2 miles from the shoreline that can work for the entire family then this board is what you need. The board has almost no rocker so it is very flat on the water. You should be able to move towards the nose and tail of the board with ease as it’s 34in width makes it very stable. In fact, it is arguably the most stable platform for yoga from an inflatable paddle board. The color coordination is simple and nice and the construction is solid. About the board:The NSP Quest is an inflatable paddle board that is best suited for paddlers looking for a heavy-duty touring or fishing SUP that is in the mid-tier price point. The board is more difficult to carry due to its size and weighs 39 lbs but paddlers of all ages and skill levels should be able to paddle this board with no problem. About the board:The Radito from Hala Gear is an inflatable SUP perfect for running rivers. The board is wide (34 in.) making it very stable, and rugged, which are necessities for paddling down the river. Carrying the board can be on the more difficult side as it weighs 31 pounds but the weight does come from the incredibly durable construction so the difficulty in carrying the board is totally worth it when you’re on the river. When not running the river the board can easily be transitioned to all around paddling and be used as a great family board that can take a beating. About the board:If you’re on the market for a group SUP that gears towards surfing, check out the Crusader from Body Glove. Who is this for: The Cocomat Cruise is best suited for paddlers looking to get an beginner-friendly all around board with an eco-friendly angle. Offered in four different sizes (9’8”, 10’2”, 11’, 11’6”) the Cocomat Cruise is nice and stable, allowing for paddlers of all ages and skill levels the chance to have fun. The board utilizes NSP’s Cocomat construction which gives the board a good durability, but it also is an environment-friendly material. The board is also pretty lightweight, weighing just over 20lbs. As an all around board, the Cocomat Cruise is best suited for short distance paddling around the shore but can also be used for catching some waves. Starting at $1,325, the Cocomat Cruise sits in the mid-level price point.

So if you’re looking for a board that the entire family can use where you can have a complete piece of mind when it comes to durability and an all-around shape that can be in the surf, with primarily flat-water use, and sticking close to the shoreline, then this is your board. The BIC Performer Tough Tec is at a great price point and for 2019 features new colors with a blue base and orange accent colors which adds nice graphics to what has typically been just a white board, making it a bit more lively. About the board:The BIC Cross in Tough Tec is a great price point board that is very strong and is a bit wider and more stable than almost anything that you’ll find on the market. This board can be used for the family: load up the kids and use it as a platform for them to jump from and have a great time. The board doesn’t have a very long range in terms of distance paddling but you’ll still be able to get a blast out of this when loading up tons of people, gear, working on your footwork and being able to go one to two miles from the shoreline.
