Connor Baxter and Candice Appleby talk Battle of the Paddle on The Wake Up Show.

SAN DIEGO, California - What could possibly be more exciting than to hear from the best before the biggest event of the year in the stand up paddle racing scene? The answer is... nothing!
This is why the The Wake Up SUP Show is fired up and preparing the stage today for the ever impressive Connor Baxter and Candice Appleby. It is going to be quite a conversation as the 2011 Battle of the Paddle Champions discuss their thoughts about the 2012 BOP as it is only days away.
It is almost cliche to say but, Connor Baxter and Candice Appleby have both had an incredible year of racing. After their wins at the BOP 2011 they have continued to be on top of their games in 2012. Connor has competed in many major races this year and has won at least 8 of them including the Triple Crown Event, the Stand Up World Series Sprint Race in Chicago, the Olukai Event Maliko to Kanaha and 2 Races at the Punta Sayulita SUP Classic in Mexico. It will be fun to hear him talk about which races were his favorites and how he feels going into The Battle.
Candice, like Connor, has also had a stellar 2012. Among some of her wins this year include the San Clemente Ocean Festival, Dukes Ocean Festival, Tahoe-Nalu Event, Naish Columbia Gorge Challenge and most recently the Surf Race to Victory SUP Cross event in Huntington Beach. Needless to say she too is primed and ready for battle again.
