KLITMØLLER, Denmark - The Danish documentary film Standing On Water will premiere in the U.S. at this year's Santa Barbara International Film Festival. It will be featured in the Above and Beyond section.
Standing On Water is a story of overcoming your fears and following your passion - the journey of how Naish stand up paddle athlete Casper Steinfath despite his fear of water became one of the best stand up paddle surfers in the world as the only person from Denmark. It's a story of how far passion can take you in life, even if you grow up in a small and isolated fishing village in the middle of nowhere. Casper was born to an American father and Danish mother, and the strong family bonds are portrayed in this film about Casper's story and the birth of a Danish surf community, today known as Cold Hawaii.
