TAHOE CITY, California –  The 3rd race of the Quicksilver Tahoe Series, Jam from the Dam, was held under perfect glassy conditions on  a 6 mile stretch of coast along North Lake Tahoe.  This years race drew top competitors from So Cal and the Pac Northwest, but the locals would rule as Team TahoeSUP dominated the 12’6 and 14ft divisions.

Jay Wild, 1st place Stock, on his TahoeSUP ‘Z’ Elite, wouldn’t  give up any of his GPS monitor info but his time of 59:28 on the 6.0 mile course means  “He was flying”, says teammate Ronnie Ayres.  “Jay is really comfortable on his board, I mean, he just spent 22 hours paddling it, 2 weeks ago.”

Anik Wild, Jay’s wife, who also completed the 72 mile Tahoe Tour circumnavigation in 22+_hours, not only won the stock div, but was the first woman finisher.  It seemed obvious to ask her if racing on just a portion of the Lake seemed easy now.  “There is an added sense of comfort along these shorelines since the Tahoe Tour”, Anik added, “But I like the company of about 100 racers that were out here today too.”

Lel Tone and Ronnie each won the 14ft div, Lel was second overall woman and Ronnie was 4th   overall in 59:14.
