About Colin McPhillips:

– 3 x World Longboard Champ, SUP Aficionado, All-Board addict & shaper

Colin, Born April 18, 1975 in Santa Monica, California, began surfing at 5 with the support of his parents and quickly improved amid the winding blue walls of San Clemente, one of SoCal’s most verdant wave gardens. He turned pro at 18.  The next year in 1995, he won his first major event at Huntington Beach at the US Open of Surfing, and 4 years later, he secured his best result ever by winning the ASP World title in 1999. He repeated this feat in 2001 & 2002.  By 2012, surfing had not only also provided travel, glory, and support for his family but also expanded into work for both TV and film as a surf stunt double on Baywatch, Beverly Hills 90210, and Chasing Mavericks. Colin McPhillips is still living in San Clemente, competing internationally, and has four children.

About Neil ‘Moonwalker’ Armstrong:

– Consulting Editor of Pacific Longboarder Magazine (with 14 front covers of the publication to his credit & a dozen or so more with other titles) & roving international photojournalist for SUP and All-Board Publications in Japan, Europe and America

Moonwalker currently lives between Taiwan, California and Australia but spent his formative schooling years in NZ and the UK – which would account for his absurd, dry and cynical sense of humour. He lives for the thrill of long plane flights, enjoys handing over fistfuls of cash for excess baggage payments (due to an ongoing addiction to expensive camera gear) and has a horrible fetish for airline foods. He uses the guise of surf photojournalism to feed these urges.
