SAO PAULO, Brasil - Over the past several years stand up paddle has seen some pretty incredible parties thrown with SUP being the main attraction! Many have had a dual purpose in bringing attention and awareness to causes such as cancer and helping individuals in need.
A few of these "Paddle Parties" that come to mind include the Paddle for Privates event conducted by Mandy McDonnell and the Stand Up for the Cure Event with the Schweitzer Family, Judie Vivian and Dan Van Dyck. Another that just had a video come out was Paddle Party 2012 and was the result of hard work by Hailey's House founders Tom and Kisha Maher.
Just recently, however, another paddle party was brought to our attention, but this time it was all in the name of family and fun! CarnaSup was organized in Sao Paulo, Brasil by Marcelo Morais. The event took place within the time frame of Carnival which began on February 8th and is still presently taking place. The costumes were amazing and the fun factor looked unreal.
Enjoy the video recap of the event and let us know if this looks fun to you in the comments below!
