Quiksilver Waterman Southeast Series Starts Soon

DEERFIELD BEACH, Florida - This month there are a slew of very exciting stand up paddle events to keep an eye on! One that is quickly approaching is the Quiksilver Waterman Southeast Series.

This sup race will be held in Deerfield Beach, FL on Sunday, February 17th.  According to Island Water Sports Website the 1st event will begin in conjunction with the city’s annual Founders Day event which, "hosts over 20,000 people on Deerfield Beach. Island's goal with this series is to not only cater to the professional SUP community but to demonstrate different applications in stand up paddling."

The event will have an elite 10k race and a recreational 5k race as well as both a kid and beginner friendly race so the whole family can have a good time.  At each one of the races in the series, the organizers will also be putting together clinics that will cover a variety of SUP styles, some of which include SUP fishing, yoga and SUP surfing.
