SAN DIEGO, California – Rusty Preisendorfer and Boardworks Paddle Division are holding a Stand Up Paddle Demo Day on February 03, 2010, from 8am-10am at La Jolla Shores in San Diego. There will be several different Rusty Sup Boards to try, plus paddles will also be available at the beach. The event is free to the public and there is no need to bring anything except your swimsuit, or, perhaps, a wetsuit, depending on your cool-water sensitivities.
This is the first official Rusty SUP Demo day, which will have Rusty himself on hand, talking about boards and joining participants for a surf session. La Jolla Shores is a fairly calm beach break (pace rare exceptions during winter time) and with the rising tide in the morning, it should all make for a fun and informational session.
With several decades of board building under his belt, Rusty is making an exceptional contribution to the evolution of stand up paddle surfboard design. That means: participants will be riding boards from one of the world’s leading figures in the shaping domain. Plus, all the boards are prototypes, which are yet to hit the market, making this a unique opportunity to test-drive some of the next generation sup surfboards.
