SAN DIEGO, California - The stand up paddleboard season in the Northern hemisphere may be winding down, but there are still more events out there than you can shake a paddle at. A new batch of SUP instructors will be certified this weekend in Portugal and SUP racers will gather in Charleston, Destin and San Clemente to compete.

Steve West, ASI and supXscape will be hosting a Stand Up Paddle Instructor course to ASI levels 1, 2 and 3 this October 7th – 10th on Portugal’s Silver Coast. The course is open to all globally and will be conducted in English, all equipment will be provided free of charge.

Charleston Watersport presents the Annual Fall SUP-surf and Longboard Expo and Contest - Isle of Palms Pier, Isle of Palms, Sc. This is a 2 day contest with our traditional pre-registration party. The contest heats start @ 8am Saturday morning and continue through the weekend. SUP demo's will take place Saturday and Sunday on the beach with manufacturers reps on hand.

This is the 4th and final race of our 4 race series. We will have a 4 mile race as well as a 1 mile beginner race. The prices are $35 dollars for the 4 mile race and $30 for the 1 mile race. Registration will begin at 9:00 am on the morning of the race, and the race will begin at 10:30. Immediately after the race there will be food and drinks for all race participants as well as an awards ceremony.

After spending the first part of her life in Minnesota, Morgan traded in her snow boots for sandals and moved to sunny California. After graduating with a degree in Communication from The University of Southern California, she eventually made her way down south to San Diego and is taking advantage of the living by the best beaches and burritos California has to offer. If it’s sunny, you can find her at the beach relaxing, or exploring the calm water in the bay via paddleboards and kayaks.
