The 10th annual Butterfly Effect landed in Cabarete on July 2nd, 2018. This year’s event registered 100 women and girls from all over the world. Local and visiting women gathered in Cabarete to complete either a 2km downriver paddle course from Islabon to La Boca or a 5km advanced downwind ride from La Boca to Cabarete Bay.
The Butterfly Effect is continuing its 2016 BE World Tour with the third annual Butterfly Effect California event and a variety of activities, all to promote women in water sports and to bring awareness to this year’s charity, Boarding for Breast Cancer Foundation and their mission that advocates early detection and a healthy, active, and sustainable lifestyle as the best means for breast cancer prevention.
The original water women movement continues to build community above competition. The Butterfly Effect is hosting its annual all women’s 3-mile paddle event on April 16th, 2016. The non-competitive paddle starts at 9am from Paia Youth & Cultural Center and ends at Kanaha Beach Park. Women will have the option to use any sort of "woman powered" paddle vessel such as kayaks, canoes, and standup paddle boards.
The 2nd Annual Butterfly Effect (BE) Tahoe saw over 300 women participants of all ages. Beginning at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area, the day was crystal clear and winds calm, making for a perfect day on the water and at the beach.
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is turning pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the second annual Maui Paddle for a Cure event and a variety of resort offerings and specials, all to benefit Susan G. Komen.
The Butterfly Effect is spreading its wings and hosting the 2nd Annual all women, all ages non-competitive paddle event in beautiful Lake Tahoe. The Butterfly Effect Tahoe will be held September 12, 2015 out of the Kings Beach State Park Recreation Area, North Lake Tahoe, California.
The Butterfly Effect is heading for Lake Tahoe for the first time this September, bringing all the good vibes and positive vibrations that make this international series for women such a special movement.
