Connor Baxter is making a name for himself in water sports. The twenty-two-year-old Maui-born waterman is fast becoming recognized as stand up paddle boarding’s elite male athlete, owning an impressive list of first-place finishes, including winning the overall 2016 APP World Tour title.

Connor Baxter Claims Victory In Red Bull Heavy Water & Secures 2016 World Title

The first ever Red Bull Heavy Water stand up paddle board race saw optimal weather conditions with sunny skies and challenging conditions of 6-8ft waves in San Francisco on Wednesday. 15 of the world’s best watermen were tasked to a grueling 12km (7.5 miles) battle of athleticism, with the ultimate victor Connor Baxter, 22, of Maui, HI, crowned Champion of Red Bull Heavy Water.

Baxter & Appleby Conquer Field (Again) At 2016 Pacific Paddle Games

Standup paddling’s biggest weekend of the year culminated Sunday with the dramatic final rounds of the 2016 Pacific Paddle Games presented by Salt Life. With the biggest prize in standup paddling on the line, the world’s best paddlers put on a show that will be talked about for months. At the end of the day, it was Connor Baxter and Candice Appleby who were crowned overall champions at #PPG2016 for the second year in a row – each taking home a cool $8,000.

While on a Maliko downwind run off the coast of Maui, Hawaii with friends Zane Schweitzer and Alex Aguera, Connor Baxter found himself in a very scary situation. While on his Starboard SUP foil, Connor Baxter was attacked from behind by a 10 foot tiger shark.

Connor Baxter just won his 7th straight victory at the 2016 Maui-2-Molokai race over the weekend making history as he extends the longest winning streak in the men’s sport. Not only has Connor never lost this race, but nobody else has ever won it. Baxter & Honscheid Win In Dramatic Fashion In Germany

After ratings leaders Fiona Wylde and Casper Steinfath took victory in the Sprints during harsh weather on Saturday, Sunday cleared up and provided excellent conditions for the distance race where Michael Booth and Sonni Honscheid pushed through to take the win. After the two races Connor Baxter and Sonni Honscheid claimed the overall win for the second stop of the Stand Up World Series.
