On Saturday, September 23, the Big Ben Challenge and Putney Foreshore Festival, supported by Tideway, will be taking over the River Thames in central London. The SUP event, organized by London based SUP school Active360, gives participants the chance to paddle in a 20K race from Putney to Big Ben and back.

The Big Ben Challenge in Central London is allowing for a rare chance to paddle the River Thames. To date, fewer than 20 people have raced there and perhaps fewer than 100 have paddled SUPs there. By participating in the Ben Ben Race you will be among the first.

Between April 8 and 13, 2016, London’s waterways will host recreational paddlers collecting rubbish from canoes, paddle boards and  kayaks all in a bid to raise awareness of the plastics pollution problem and to clean London’s waterways.

The Source2Sea team have had their epic short film entered as the only SUP entry for the London Surf Film Festival and really need the help of the SUP community. They want to share their short film, spread the paddleboard message and maybe even win the festival.
