Boardworks SUP is pleased to announce the return of the Boardworks Show Up & Blow Up SUP Cross, a really fun, high octane, fast & furious technical race down Utah’s Weber River.
If you are in Asheville, North Carolina this week consider a trip out to Nantahala Outdoor Center for the Freestyle Shoot Out and Demo Days on April 20th to the 22nd .
Now that winter is long gone in the southeast, the Boardworks whitewater Tour is under way. The first competition/festival along the way is always fun because you get to shake off all of the winter blues and get back into the swing of things and this year started with a bang. With the introduction of the Boardworks Tour this year, there was a ton of excitement in the air as we arrived in Alabama.
This one of a kind Polynesian themed extravaganza will feature surfing contests, music, food and product vendors, costumes, a hula contest, limbo events, a Goof Board competition, a floating parade of rafts punching the monster wave/hole and the world’s best river stand up paddlers displaying their paddling prowess on the snowmelt swollen Colorado River.
After joining up back in July of this year, Boardworks and Badfish have been working hard to advance the technology of whitewater SUP. Now, they have announced the new inflatable MCIT stand up paddleboard to be offered in 2012.
Slater Trout and Nikki Gregg win the Boardworks sponsored H2O Overdrive Weber River SUP cross, the first whitewater Stand Up Paddle event of its kind in Utah, giving the name “Show Up and Blow Up” a whole new meaning.
Dave Cornthwaite checks in with SUP Connect and while taking a much needed break from his daily paddle, he sits down to answer some questions about his journey.
Tahoe SUP has become known for both its pioneering efforts and distinctive product line. In a time when stand up paddle boarding was seen purely in terms of surfing, Tahoe SUP not only had the vision to identify the inland potential of the sport, but also to rollout a full product line specifically tailored for the touring market.

To begin their fourth consecutive show at Outdoor Retailer, Boardworks Surf hosted its’ Second Annual Weber River Run on stand up paddleboards. With the growing interest in SUP, there could not have been a better way to launch into the show week.
