The Payette River Games (PRG) is known for being the competition with the largest prize purse to-date in stand up paddle boarding. This year at the Payette River Games there was an endless amount of excitement and anticipation on who would walk away with the first place prize of $10,000 USD. In a surprising (but not really) ending to the weekend it was Payette River Games newcomer Mo Freitas who took home the cake.
The Payette River Games will be this weekend, June 19 - 21 and you can bet that the world's best stand up paddlers will be there to fight for their piece of the pie. Werner Paddles athlete, Fiona Wylde, will be one of those elite racers to run the river and in the video below, Fiona talks about her passion for stand up paddling and why Werner Paddles is the fit for her.
As usual, the Vail Valley Foundation put on a great event this year at the 2015 GoPro Mountain Games and Badfish/Boardworks athletes dominated the SUP events, taking 10 of 15 possible podium spots in the SUP events.
