Supconnect Awards 2020 Winners Announced

After more than six weeks of deliberations and intense evaluations we are pleased to announce the winners of the 11th Annual Supconnect Awards. After nominating 30 or so men, women, groms and blogs per category, and an abundance of brands and shops in the stand up paddle industry we've finally narrowed down the extremely talented pool of nominees to the final chosen winners.

ISA Granted Governance of SUP at Olympic Level

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has issued its decision in the arbitration procedure between the International Surfing Association (ISA) and the International Canoe Federation (ICF) regarding the governance of the sport of Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP).

Open Nominations Begin for Supconnect Awards 2020

Ahead of the official launch of the 11th Annual Supconnect Awards Supconnect has launched the Open Nominations for all categories, ahead of the official launch of the Awards in July. Categories include: Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Grom of the Year and Gear of the Year, among others.

Malibu SUP Surfer Gets Arrested

On Thursday, April 2, a Los Angeles man was arrested at a popular Malibu beach, First Point, for ignoring orders from local lifeguards to exit the water after Los Angeles county had closed beaches in response to the Corona Virus pandemic.

APP Tour Adjusts Schedule In Response To Covid-19

After much consultation with Host Cities, Tour and Event Partners and Sponsors, together with an in depth evaluation of the situation as it relates to the escalating Covid-19 virus, the APP announces that it is cancelling the first 2 events of the 2020 season that were scheduled to take place in Pornichet, France in June and Maui, Hawaii in July in the interests of all concerned.
