Turkey is an unexplored paddling wonderland. South-western Turkey, which stretches along Turkey’s Aegean coast, is an explored heaven for standup paddling, training camps, SUP yoga, SUP fit and more! The only problem is, there aren’t many waves!
To give you an idea about Turkey and to give you an idea of the land and what we have at our fingertips for paddling, here are a few facts; Turkey is 70,580 square kilometers (just a bit bigger than Texas), and the coastline is a whopping 7,200km…now that is an epic amount of coast to paddle!!
The coastal borders are on the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sean, and the Aegean Sea. The Aegean Sea, to the west of Turkey, is an extension of the Mediterranean, which means warm warm water, and no rise or fall in tides. The south of Turkey has a Mediterranean climate, with the average temperature of 17℃ to 20℃ (63℉ to 68℉.)

Summer - June to mid-September - EVERYWHERE crowded, many English, German, and French holiday makers; perfect to SUP into fitness
Winter - November to March - cold and rainy, BUT rivers are flowing and when the sun shines in the south, it is warm! River to be found and explored (watch this area).
