Stand Up Paddle Adventure Workshop In Florida

SARASOTA, Florida - SURFit USA is offering a five day adventure and skills workshop based in Sarasota, Florida to help adventurers build confidence and skills on a paddleboard. Stand Up Paddleboarding is considered the fastest growing watersport in the world and people are lining up to try it. However, many people go out paddleboarding once or twice but never really learn the skills to feel really confident on the boards. They may paddle around incorrectly or not really know where to paddle. On this inclusive trip, paddlers will learn the basics of paddling as well as advanced turning techniques, paddle safety, assessing weather and ocean conditions, maneuvering paddleboards, and much more.

By the end of the week, every paddler will be ready to join SURFit USA on some of their more exotic and challenging adventures. This adventure/skills workshop is led by Aaron Pollard, lifelong Hawaii waterman, trained lifeguard and paddleboard coach.  He will teach and guide the group ensuring that everyone is safe and comfortable in the water.  

Package includes deluxe hotel accommodations at the downtown Hotel Indigo, transportation to and from all launch sites, all stand up paddleboard equipment, daily paddles to different locations, a day long skills workshop, special social events, some snacks and some meals. Cost is $2000 per person which includes accommodations (based on double occupancy)  or $750 for those who do not need accommodations.  (Transportation to and from launch sites is based on leaving from downtown Sarasota).

(**The Sarasota Half Marathon is also this weekend.  SURFit USA will modify paddle times on March 16th to accommodate any paddlers that may be running the half marathon.)
