Thrilling Victories and Rising Stars at the 2024 Namur SUP Race: A Eurotour Highlight

NAMUR, BELGIUM - Another beautiful day in Belgium for the 14th edition of Stop #6 of Eurotour 2024, presented by Deloitte Belgium, the Namur SUP Race. With 13 nations and a high caliber of competitors enjoying the summer at The Flow Namur.
On the women's side, Kimberly Barnes from the USA finally secured her first victory after coming so close last week. She didn’t have it easy with Duna Gordillo from Spain pushing her to the very last sprint. Claudia Postiglionne from Italy finished third after being in the front pack for the entire race. Dropping to fourth place after the first half of the race was multiple-time winner Petronella Van Malsen from the Netherlands. Rounding out the Top 5 was Sveva Sabato from Italy, who put on an impressively strong performance as a 14-year-old from SUP Academy Taranto.

Donato Freens from the Netherlands secured back-to-back victories in the Eurotour 2024, demonstrating impressive strength in a highly competitive field. This marked his second win of the tournament. The race was intense, with a tight sprint among the top 5 contenders. Ethan Bry from France came in second, just narrowly ahead of Aaron Sanchez from Spain, who claimed third place. Fernando Perez from Spain finished not far behind in fourth place, followed by Joep Van Bakel from the Netherlands in fifth. A special mention goes to Ole Schwarz from Germany, who, despite falling off the board near the finish line, managed to secure sixth place.

The Kids/Juniors had an impressive presence in Namur, securing coveted spots in the Top 10 and setting new records, with an 8-year-old completing the Amateur race.
