Attending a standup paddle boarding event is one of the best ways to enjoy the sport. January 2022 Paddle Boarding Events
Surf Expo
Produced in January and September at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, Surf Expo features thousands of apparel and hard good brands and a full line-up of special events, including fashion shows, industry parties, annual awards ceremonies, and more. Surf Expo is a TRADE ONLY EVENT and is not open to the public.

Paddle Sports League Winter Challenge
The Paddle Sports League (PSL) is an amateur paddling league for all paddlers. This event will be race #2 and is open to all paddle craft. There will be a 5K and 10K paddle. The 10K course is the "short course for FCPA Points the 10 mile course is the Long Course. Races are free! Come and have some fun.

PNWORCA Winter Series Race #1: Wasabi Bridge to Bridge
Join Wasabi Paddling Club on Jan. 8th for PNWORCA's first winter series small boat race of 2022! The course begins at Fred's Marina on the Multnomah Channel, then races on Willamette River to St. John's Bridge and back. This is an 8 mile long course of 4 distinct legs with stunning views at each turn. Let's hope it's not raining! Paddlers are required to have a Coast Guard approved I, II, III or V PFD and a whistle on their boat. Please socially distance, when possible, on land. Masks are required indoors, in bathrooms and Fred’s Marina.

101 Surf Sports Charity Paddle Race #4
The 101 Surf Sports Charity Paddle race is back! Racing s capped at 75 participants so sign up early. Racing occurs on the San Rafael Canal wiith a 2 mile protected short course that is perfect for first time racers. Elite athletes can choose our 6 mile course that usually circumnavigates the Marin Islands. The January Race Benefits Rivers for Change. Rivers for Change's mission is to connect people to rivers through Source To Sea adventures, conservation, and education. 100% of the race proceeds will be donated. No lunch/party after racing.

Caribbean Painkiller Cup
The Caribbean Painkiller Cup Team race format comprises a 14-mile relay race starting in the shallow water at the top of Trellis Bay and finishing in front of Hendo’s Hideout in White Bay, Jost Van Dyke. The event is open to any team comprising three racers, at least one of which must be female. Travel restrictions to the BVI are forcing us to curtail the scope of the 2021 Painkiller Cup. We will not run the 14-mile team race and instead only proceed with the mini-Painkiller Cup from Sandy Cay to White Bay.

GlaGla Race
The 8th edition of the GlaGla Race will take place on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 on the “Lac D'Annecy” (France). The start is in Talloires. Held in a quiet corner of France in the freezing cold depths of winter, this amazing race has officially become one of the biggest in the world!

Hanohano Ocean Challenge
The Hanohano Ocean Challenge is one of the Longest Running Paddlesport Races in California (OC-1, Surfski, Traditional Paddleboard, Standup Paddleboard and Kayak) We’ve always had a great mix of top level professional athletes and beginners from ages 7-80. Race course options include a 4.5 miles short course, an approximately 9 mile long course, a 1000 meter junior race, or even a virtual 10k if you can’t join us in person! Pre-Registration is highly suggested.
