CARLSBAD, California - Surftech, The Original Board Manufacturing Co., announced that it has officially signed outdoor adventurer Ken Hoeve to their global team. Ken is one of the biggest personalities in the paddle sports world; known for his charismatic personality and his unique way of capturing his breathtaking adventures and sharing them with the world. Beyond paddling, Ken is a father, weatherman, kayaker, surfer, snowboarder and well known event announcer who will be a great addition to the Surftech global team.
“Ken is one of those rare individuals whose diverse background and life experience has given him a very unique perspective on the sports he is involved with. He has a very personal way of engaging an audience by telling great stories and sharing the moment through the images he captures. He has really come to define the adventure athlete and is the perfect representative for us and our company” says Surftech VP of Sales Ryan Guay.
Part of the relationship will have Ken testing new gear for Surftech and working directly with their product development team to develop new products and improve existing ones. “Ken plays hard and he is very hard on his equipment. He’s a big guy paddling in very extreme conditions and traveling a ton, so his equipment gets tested hard which is exactly the kind of testing we are looking for,” said Mike Pilgrim, Director of Product Development. “Working with Ken we are going to learn more and ultimately be able to deliver better equipment.”
