Open Nominations Now Live for the 15th Annual Supconnect Awards

SAN DIEGO, California - Supconnect is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 15th Annual Supconnect Awards. This year, categories include Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Grom of the Year, Gear of the Year, among others.

"We are incredibly excited to celebrate the 15th Annual Supconnect Awards, a milestone achievement that underscores our enduring commitment to stand-up paddleboarding” notes Andre Niemeyer, Supconnect’s Publisher. Niemeyer continues, “As a leader in SUP media, we take pride in being the authentic voice of the industry, capturing the spirit and progression of this vibrant community. This legacy is built on our dedication to recognizing excellence and innovation, and this year's awards promise to highlight the outstanding contributions of athletes, brands, and shops that continue to drive our sport forward."

The selection process for the Supconnect Awards involves input from the Supconnect staff, advisory board, brands, shops, other industry members, and the public. Nominees are evaluated based on several criteria, including performance, ambassadorship, support, and quality.

Criteria for Athlete Nominees:

• Ambassadorship: Embodying the cheerfulness and inclusiveness characteristic of the sport.
• Involvement: Actively participating in events and maintaining a connection with the sport.
• Performance: Demonstrating skill in the sport, though top results are not mandatory.
• Support: Garnering a following and votes to validate credibility.

Criteria for Brand and Shop Nominees:

• Involvement: Supporting the local SUP community through demos, events, and consumer education.
• Support: Providing exceptional customer service in sales, warranty, and product knowledge.
• Quality: Offering products of the highest quality.
