Recreational time at the Newport Dunes for people of all ages enjoying the calm waters and sunshine.
SAN CLEMENTE, California – Stand Up for the Cure is a paddleboard race this coming May 5th, 2012 in Newport Beach, California. Part of the proceeds of the race and of the sales of a signature Riviera board will go to the SuzamnG Komen Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to the fight against cancer.
Dan Van Dyck, the organizer of the well-known Hanohano race, and Riviera Paddlesurf, a paddleboard company based in San Clemente, have partnered to combine fun with fundraising. Van Dyck will spearhead the sup race at the Newport Dunes in Newport Beach, California while Riviera has released a "Stand Up for the Cure" board, designed with the trademark pink to represent the fight against breast cancer.
