This photo was submitted by SUP Connecter Marc Evans. It shows a beautifully placid Loch Etive in Scotland with the Connel Bridge dominating the distance. Scotland boasts over 790 islands and numerous lochs including Loch Lomond and Loch Ness in the Highlands making it an ideal place to SUP.
This photo of an extreme SUP ollie was submitted by David Weihnacht. On July 16th, the second annual Salida SUP Sessions was held on the Arkansas River in Salida, Colorado. The river, juiced and flexed by this year's record snow melt, provided great conditions for the SUP Surf competition. Above, Frankie Block pulls off a manuever usually reserved to skateboards.
This serene SUP image was posted by Diego and shows a liesurely paddle in Puerto Azul, Venezuela. On his photo album Diego says, "Finishing the day of promoting the sport with Surftech Venezuela and taking some time off to catch the sunset in the best seat in the house..... right at sea!"
This last photo was submitted by SUP Connecter Rayburn and shows the SUP competitiors preparing to race at the first annual Swiss SUP Championships. Held on beautiful Lake Geneva in Switzerland, participants came out to Preverenges Beach in Lausanne on Saturday, July 9th. The great turn out and quality of participants shows a strong growth of stand up paddle in Europe.
Thank you to all SUP Connect users for posting their photos. Keep uploading to be chosen for next week's photo feature.
