This week's photos take us to the Snarøya peninsula outside Oslo and to the whitewater rapids of Tennessee. Thanks to SUP Connecters Aaron Koch and Knut Sorby for uploading some great pictures.

This photo uploaded by Aaron Koch shows some serious whitewater SUP action; not a calm pool or eddy around to escape to! It's hard to see, but his board is there, under the feverous rush of water.
This picture was taken in Tennessee where there are some great places to river SUP. One great spot, the Pigeon River, includes two popular sections, the Upper and Lower. The Upper begins at the North Carolina / Tennessee border and features Class III / IV whitewater rapids. If this sounds like a suicide mission, head on down to the Lower section of the Pigeon River where you can SUP in calmer waters.
Another great photo of submitted by SUP Connecter Aaron Koch. It looks like he has traded boards this time, perhaps because the river ate the last one or perhaps because this green monster is better suited for crazy drops like the one pictured above.
In addition to the Pigeon River mentioned above, Tennessee offers many waterways to explore and challenge yourself including the Ocoee River, which hosted the whitewater slalom events in the 1996 Summer Olympics, and the meandering Hiwassee River.
Norway boasts some of the most spectacular SUP scenery on the planet. Just take a look at this photo. Yeah, pretty ridiculous. So when we see user uploaded pictures from SUP Connecters in Norway, we know they are going to be great. The photo above was uploaded by Knut Sörby and shows him on a serene Oslo fjord under a cloud-fluffed sky. The picture was taken by his friend Edith Holmqvist.
Knut says, "I have been SUPing for a couple of months on a small lake close to where I live, but this was actually the first time I took my SUP out on the Oslo fjord, and as you can see it was not any challenging conditions, just some smaller waves from scores of smaller boats." Not bad for an afternoon outside of Oslo.
Another gem from Knut, here is friend paddles by an old boat house. Norway's geography is a dream come true for adventurous paddlers. The rugged coastline, broken by massive fjords and thousands of islands, reaches over 16,000 miles (25,000 kilometers), providing near limitless SUP exploration.
Much of Norway's topography can be attributed to the massive, prehistoric glaciers that dominated the land. The fjords were cut into the land by these New Jersey-sized ice cubes and now provide miles of scenic paddling for those willing to brave the cold water.
Thank you to all SUP Connect users for posting their photos. Keep uploading to be chosen for next week's photo feature.
