DESTIN, Florida - BOTE Board has released one of their premiere SUP surf boards, The 'Jackalope' in the 2014 line up. The 8'6" mythological legend is available in Chainmail or Native construction types both impacting a stellar composition for performance and durability. The Jackalope is a hybrid of sorts inheriting its name from the 'fearsome critter' to have horns of an antelope and the body of a jackrabbit. A clever name to depict the run you'll get aboard this adventurous platform.
Overview
By combining a stepped deck and aggressive rails, the Jackalope allows enough volume for superior stability while maintaining excellent surf performance. BOTE has delivered a sturdy, responsive board that excels in anything from knee-high chop to overhead perfection.
Dimensions
At 8'6", the length allows an ambitious rider to whip around and shred, but stable enough to support the amateur in the exploration surf stage. The 4.25" thick deck also provides enough buoyancy to make paddling into waves a cinch. The 'piece de resistance' is its soft diamond tail, which puts your back foot right over the fins and in total control of your turns.
Material
Available in the Native construction and Chainmail construction. The Native consisting of commingled fiberglass/innegra construction making this type ultra strong and durable against impact. The Chainmail combing carbon fiber and innegra (polymer fiber) to add the lightweight capability with an armor for your board. Both aesthetically designed not only for good looks but top notch performance; one that is stronger, lighter and faster than anything on the water.
Ideal Surfers
The Jackalope is a board that experienced surfers will love and beginners will grow on. It's fast, loose and light, but fully accessible to newbies. The folks at BOTE have managed to maximize performance without sacrificing stability.
About BOTE BOARD
Founded in 2009 by Magda and Corey Cooper, BOTE's roots were very modest. BOTE literally grew from the simple concept of developing a stand-up paddle board that is designed to be fished from–a board that would justly serve fisherman, surfers and paddle enthusiasts alike.
