APP World Tour Finale to Crown SUP Surfing Champions

GRAN CANARIA, Spain - The APP World Tour will once again crown its World Champions for SUP Surfing and SUP Longboard Surfing for Men, Women and Juniors in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Now coming into its 5th year as the World Championship Tour Final, with a legacy of spectacular conditions and performances each and every year, the Gran Canaria Pro-Am will bring together the World’s Best SUP Surfers for a showdown to remember. The event will take place from the 3rd - 8th December 2024.

The Gran Canaria Pro-Am will feature both regular SUP and longboard SUP formats for both Men and Women, together with Youth Championships to celebrate the future of the sport. The event has a dual venue approach that allows for ideal conditions for qualifier rounds and youth competition, as well as the longboard SUP component of the event at La Cicer, culminating in the main event at El Lloret, a World class point break where we have seen World Class conditions bless the Gran Canaria SUP Open year after year.

The beauty of the venue is that the two venues are just a few hundred metres apart, and are found at the west end of the Las Canteras waterfront that sits in front of the bustling City of Las Palmas. welcomes both ardent fans of the APP World Tour as well as newcomers to the sport to take in the action and watch the best of the best battle it out for the World Championship Crown.

In 2023, Luiz Diniz from Brazil and Iballa Moreno from the Canary Islands take victory at the Gran Canaria Pro Am to take the 2023 World Titles. After an epic week of competition in Gran Canaria, World champions were crowned for Pro Men and Women, Longboard SUP Men and Women and U18 Boys and Girls at the heart of the beautiful city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
