SAN DIEGO, California - Sri Lanka is a rising star in the travel world. Moving on from its rough political history, the country is gaining interest from people who prefer natural beauty and an authentic adventure trip over the pre-packaged vacations to a resort (not that we're saying anything negative about the latter). More than anything, it's just a painfully beautiful place that makes you want to drop what you're doing, pack up your stuff and board a plane to somewhere you've never been.
