SAN DIEGO, California - Do you have a knack for communicating with people? A love for stand up paddling? And most importantly, the drive to take the best stand up paddle publication on the web to an international audience? Supconnect is looking for a very special person to fill a very big and VERY important role.
We're currently seeking out a new social media manager. The candidate must be on the ball when it comes to SUP events, an avid paddler (at least on a social/recreational level), friendly, personable, eloquent, capable with using technology and a team player. This job involves being able to turn the day to day business of paddling and paddle events into stories. You'll be updating social media pages, liaising with editorial contributors, brain storming ideas with the team and constantly communicating with people using the site.
We are a fun and hard-working office who don't bite or bring each other down. Joining the team is both a great opportunity to learn, grow, contribute to a great publication and a chance to carve a niche for yourself in this ever-expanding SUP industry.
Ideally, your skill set should look something like this:
* Great communication skills (both written and verbal - experience or related qualifications are a plus)
* Excellent grammar
* Savvy with communications technology
* Driven and hard working
* A stand up paddler (this is an absolute necessity, since the job hinges around the SUP industry)
* Candidates with industry experience will be favored
