KENT COASTLINE, England - Charlie Head is a stand up paddler who ventures out on extreme journeys. He was toward the end of a 600 mile paddle from Cornwall to London when he noticed a stranded Shih Tzu puppy on some rocks that were completely surrounded by fast flowing water. The tide was rising quickly and time was running out.
Without hesitation Charlie headed for the puppy and was able to get to him before the tide could sweep him away. According to the video seen above and predictions made at the time, it seems that the puppy may have only had about 10 more minutes before the rocks would have been completely covered by water. The puppy was spared swimming for its life.
Fortunately all turned out well and the puppy will hopefully find a happy home as it is suspected that it was dumped and abandoned.
