5. SUP ALAIA CROSSOVER
Heat Score - 68
French surfer, Fred Compagnon, recently used his love for stand up paddle boarding to solve a little problem he'd been having with the alaia - catching big waves. The Solution: By strapping himself into his alaia, he was able to stand up on a SUP and get himself into some pretty meaty waves in his backyard. As you can see by the video, it's working out quite well for him.

4. Steve West - Downwind Fun
Heat Score - 71
Downwind runs are awesome. For people who live in places where the wind howls consistently, it's a chance to get out there and actually make use of the conditions rather than just leaving it to the kite and wind surfers. Check out this rad clip of Steve West having a ball on the new Mistral M1 Open Ocean.

3. Big Island Score
Heat Score - 76

Naish rider, Robby Naish, Michi Schweiger and Kody Kerbox had been talking about taking a surf trip to the Big Island for several seasons, but it never came together. Until now…

2. Bart's Polynesian Crossing
Heat Score - 80
Bart de Zwart has just completed another monster paddle journey, this time crossing the 180 mile stretch from Tahiti to Bora Bora. The Dutch endurance machine seems to be constantly finding new ways to test his own strength against the many faces of mother nature. He's an inspiring athlete and one we always enjoy watching.

1. Great White Video
Heat Score - 101
On May 13, Wagner Deabreu uploaded this eerily peaceful video of a Great White cursing a lightly crowded lineup at El Porto, Manhattan Beach. Sharks are beautiful predators that deserve every inch of respect we give them (in fact more, since there are so many people who don't give sharks any at all).
