4. Brazil Is Out, China Is In As Host for 2018 ISA SUP Championship

3. Whitewater Paddler Brittany Parker Suffers Severe Injuries From Pump Explosion

One of SUP's top whitewater paddlers, Brittany Parker, suffered serious injuries on the morning of Wednesday, June 27th. The tragic event occurred as Brittany was pumping up a board on a compressor and was unexpectedly thrown backwards by an explosion and hit her head on the ground. More details HERE.
2. Portugal SUP Movement and Law Under Attack by ICF

In a recent announcement made by the International Canoe Federation (ICF) Esposende, Portugal was announced as the location of their inaugural SUP World Championship to be held later this year. Now in a recent turn of events, the Portuguese Surfing Federation has made a statement saying that the ICF and this event will not take place because it is simply against the Portuguese Laws.
