5. Protecting Our Ocean Environments Through SUP

The evolution of stand up paddle is creating the worlds next environmental advocates. As more paddlers explore their own local waters more is being uncovered on what is polluting our liquid playgrounds. Did you know the United States has 13 National Marine Sanctuaries? Four of which are located on the California Coast. These protected waters are the underwater versions of our US national parks. Read more HERE.
4. How To Punch Through A River Wave on A SUP

If you’ve been spending a solid amount of time paddle boarding down river you should have the basics down. Now, you’re more than likely ready to take the next step. Here, river expert Mike Tavares shares a couple of tips for running waves or small hydraulics on a whitewater SUP. 3. Grom Take Over at 2018 Gorge Paddle Challenge

After 6 weeks of deliberation the staff here at Supconnect is excited announced the 2018 Gear of the Year Awards winners from our 9th Annual Supconnect Awards. Description: Here’s a photo I took of Fiona Wylde on what was arguably the windiest downwinder she’s ever done between Home Valley WA. and Hood River OR. -a distance of 14 miles. It was gusting to 40. She never fell in and did the run in under 2 hours.
