Makaha, Hawaii - There is really no wrong way to ride a wave! After the victory of Duane DeSoto yesterday in the ASP World Longboard Championship, the Oxbow Wave Sliders offers today three disciplines with different toys.
Free sessions hosting 16 surfers each: Stand Up Paddle - Alaia - Short Board with a winning prise of $1000 for the winner of each category. No rules, no conditions, just an inspiration for the surfers to be themselves. After the session they will discuss who got the best wave and who surfed without wiping out. With a clean two to three feet wave, competitors gave their best and shown great ridding style.

With this new format Oxbow wanted to show a new vision of surfing on whatever the board the rider chooses, and most important is the pleasure that you have surfing.
Mission accomplished for this first edition of the Oxbow Wave Sliders, everyone leaves Makaha stoked and with a piece of Aloha Spirit.
