Overview:
Paddle Board Highlights
Who is it for?
If you’re looking for a very stable, non-inflatable premium fishing board to paddle short distances then the BOTE HD is worth a look. This stand up paddle (SUP) board comes in the innegra fiberglass construction which is durable and has both positives and negatives. Because the board is 32 inches wide it is very stable. It has 2.56 lbs per foot and weighs 30.7 lbs total making the HD have an average weight for its size. Its shape makes the HD perfect for SUP fishing and can be used by everyone. Its construction and shape combined best fit this board for recreational paddling, around the dock and beach. Retailing at $1,749, the board is among the premium price point but one of the best that the brand has to offer.
First Impressions
On first impressions, the graphics and color are gorgeous, the shape design is very unique and the construction strikes as strong. The HD looks beautiful and has a beautiful display of colors both bright and bold that carry through on the deck pad. The shape design is very thoughtful for boards in these categories, offering features specific to SUP fishing. The construction appears very durable as something that is long-lasting. The HD is fairly difficult to carry since it weighs above 30 lbs and the glide feels average, which is to be expected since lightweight construction and speed-centric design are marginally incorporated here. The board comes equipped with ConnexSUP plugins which allow for endless opportunities on accessory hookups and also has a tackle rack receiver and a cooler tie down. With everything put together, the HD is a very stable, fishing-specific paddle board that anyone who can walk should be able to easily stand on it and paddle away.
