Who is this for: The Beach Cross from Tahe is a great starter board for someone looking for a board that’s both versatile and affordable and very durable. The Beach Cross utilizes Tahe’s proprietary tough-tec technology which makes this board extremely tough and durable. The board has very minimal graphics and features nice pops of red and blue on the deckpad. The board comes with an FCS II tool-less 9” Dolphin Center Fin, a bungee attachment for either the nose or the tail of the board. The board is on the heavier side weighing in at just over 40lbs so it is difficult to carry, especially for paddlers on the smaller side. A nice feature of the board is that it includes a drink holder built-in to the deck. The Beach Cross is pretty versatile in design and can be used for all around paddling, fishing, yoga, and would be a good family board that can take a beating and last a long time. On the water the board was a bit slow and harder to turn due to the weight but was really stable even with boat wakes adding some wobble to the water’s surface.
